1. Dallas Clark (Indianapolis Colts) vs. New Orleans
The New York Jets may have allowed only 3 TD receptions all year long to the tight end position, but Dallas Clark loves a challenge as he proved two weeks ago in the AFC Championship Game. While Clark only hauled in 4 passes for 35 yards in that contest, one of those catches brought him into the end zone, leaving him with a solid 9 point fantasy day. Clark will once again be tested come Super Bowl Sunday as the Saints have given up just one tight end score through 18 games, but we still like him to produce. After all, the tight end did rack up 100 catches for 1,106 yards and 10 TDs on the year.

The final four has been decided with the Minnesota Vikings heading to the Superdome to take on the New Orleans Saints on the NFC side, while the Indianapolis Colts will play host to the New York Jets on the AFC side of things. Those match-ups mean two of the games best tight ends, Jason Witten and Antonio Gates, are now booking tee times rather than sitting in a position to help you in your Fantasy Football Playoff Challenges. To see what tight ends are left to help your cause and where they stack up, continue reading the Bruno Boys Championship Round Tight End Rankings.
1. Dallas Clark (Indianapolis Colts) vs. New York Jets
Sure, the New York Jets showcased the best pass defense in the regular season, allowing just 8 passing TDs on the year, and yes, they did hold tight ends under wraps, giving up just 4.3 fantasy points per game. Nonetheless, Clark’s play throughout the season secures his spot here as the No. 1 ranked tight end for this weekend’s games. Posting a hearty 163 points, Clark was second in production only behind the San Francisco 49ers’ Vernon Davis, and he shows no sign of slowing down here in the post-season as he hauled in 7 passes for 59 yards in the Colts’ win over the Ravens. It doesn’t hurt matters that Gates just burnt this Jets’ unit for 8 catches and 93 yards last week. Just as Peyton Manning does week in and week out, look Clark’s way this coming weekend.

1. Dallas Clark (Indianapolis Colts) vs Baltimore
No tight end had a better season from start to finish then Clark. He had five or more fantasy football points in 14 of 16 games and had seven games of 10 or more fantasy points. In a Week 11 victory over the Baltimore Ravens Clark had just one reception for three yards but his lone catch was a touchdown. With the Ravens focusing on shutting down Clark it led to back-up tight end Tom Santi be on the receiving end of a career high six receptions and 80 receiving yards. Don’t expect Clark to be contained two times in the same year against Baltimore and look for him to continue his stellar play when it counts the most (46 receptions, 667 receiving yards, 3 TDs in nine playoff games). There is nothing safer than starting the games best tight end in the NFL’s most efficient offense.

1. Jason Witten (Dallas Cowboys) vs. Philadelphia
A good part of the Cowboys strong play over the last seven weeks can be attributed to the play of Witten. Over the last seven games the Cowboys finished 5-2 to win the NFC East and Witten had 45 receptions for 592 receiving yards and one touchdown. With Tony Romo keening in on his superstar tight end it forced defenses to focus on Witten and allowed the Cowboys’ offense to find some balance and not rely so much on the big play down the field. During the regular season the Philadelphia Eagles allowed the most receiving yards in the NFL to tight ends and last week Witten torched Philly for 76 yards and a touchdown. He’s scored double-digit fantasy points in four of his last six games and we like his chances of doing it for the second straight week against the Eagles.

With seven tight ends hitting the double digit mark in week 16, the position undoubtedly swayed some fantasy football championships. The very same could happen in week 17, so be sure to have your best option plugged into your line-up. To find out who that is, just check out the Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Week 17 Tight End Rankings!
1. Jason Witten (Dallas Cowboys) vs. Philadelphia
Witten had 117 receiving yards last week, marking his third 100-yard game of the season, and third in his last five outings. He should be able to hit the century mark once again this week against the Eagles. Philadelphia has allowed more receptions and receiving yards to opposing tight ends than any other team in the NFL.

1. Vernon Davis (San Francisco 49ers) vs. Detroit
Davis disappointed last week in a superb match-up against the Philadelphia Eagles, hauling in just three passes for 43 yards. He also failed to catch a touchdown pass for the first time in four games; however, look for him to find his way back into the end zone this week against a Detroit Lions team that has allowed more touchdowns to opposing tight ends than any other team in the NFL.

Alge Crumpler going for 10 fantasy points? What is this 2006? Chances are that Crumpler doesn’t hit the double digit plateau again in week 15. In fact, he’s not even in our Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Week 15 Tight End Rankings. To find out who is, just continue reading.
1. Vernon Davis (San Francisco 49ers) @ Philadelphia
Davis’ string of catching exactly six passes for at least 65 yards ended at three games when he managed just three receptions for 34 yards on Monday. However, he did catch a touchdown in the 49ers’ upset win over the Cardinals and has now done so in four straight games. This week, he faces the Eagles, who have allowed more catches to opposing tight ends than any other team in the league, as well as the second-most receiving yards and second-most touchdowns (tied w/ two other teams).

Week 13 was once again a big week for the tight end position as six of them scored double digit fantasy points and three tight ends went for over 100 receiving yards. For the second straight week super-studs Antonio Gates and Jason Witten went over 100 receiving yards as they continue to get hot at the right time for their fantasy football owners. Also, Vernon Davis continued his stellar play in Week 13 against the Seattle Seahawks. The emerging tight end scored a touchdown for the third straight games and his 10 TDs are tops at the position. Last but not least, was Mr. Monday Night Jermichael Finley. Finley torched the Baltimore Ravens for 79 receiving yards to go along with two touchdowns and he now has scored all of his TDs on the national stage.
To see how these guys, as well as the other tight ends, stack up in the first round of the fantasy playoffs check out the Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Week 14 Tight End Rankings.
1. Vernon Davis (San Francisco 49ers) vs. Arizona
Last week against the Seattle Seahawks, Davis had six receptions for 111 yards and one touchdown. It was the third game in a row that Davis has both caught six passes and caught a touchdown. The athletic tight end has had 100 or more receiving yards in three of his last five games and takes on a Arizona Cardinals squad that has allowed the second-most touchdowns (tied) to opposing tight ends.

Week 12 produced some pretty strong performances from the tight end position, but none were more appreciated than the efforts by Antonio Gates and Jason Witten, who both played like the dominating tight ends we all fell in love with. Against the Kansas City Chiefs, Gates hauled in 7 passes for 118 yards and two scores for a fantasy fantasy performance of 23 fantasy points. Witten, meanwhile, recorded his first 100-yard day on the year with 5 catches for 107 yards on Thanksgiving day against the Oakland Raiders. Can these two keep it up in Week 13? To find out, check out the Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Week 13 Tight End Rankings.
1. Tony Gonzalez (Atlanta Falcons) vs. Philadelphia
Gonzalez has been outstanding over the past two weeks, catching a total of 17 passes for 165 yards and one touchdown, and he has an opportunity to put up more huge numbers this week, even with Matt Ryan out. His opponent, the Eagles, have allowed the most receptions (70), second-most receiving yards (747), and second-most touchdowns (tied - 7) to opposing tight ends in the league.

Week 12 is here and by now the playoffs in your league are probably forming its face. You know for the most part who is in and who is out; but for those that are lucky enough to still be in, Bruno Boys Nation that is, you can’t let down just yet. You still have a seed to fight for and a bye-week in Week 14 is always a nice break to sit back and enjoy some football without the stress of wondering if you are going to win or lose.
So tackle this article and the rest of the positional rankings that we have to offer this week and lets sew up a good playoff placing. Now onto this week’s edition of the Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Week 12 Tight End Rankings.
1. Greg Olsen (Chicago Bears) @ Minnesota
Why is Greg Olsen sitting on top of the Bruno Boys rankings this week for tight ends? It is a combination of two things. He has averaged over 57 yards per game during the past month and had a three touchdown performance in Week 9 against the Arizona Cardinals. To top it off, the Minnesota Vikings have been horrible defending against the tight end position this year. Add in the fact that Jay Cutler has connected with Olsen a total of 13 times in the past two weeks you have to like his chances of performing at a high level this week.
