Normal fantasy football leagues have come to an end and what a great season it was. We hope that you did well in your league, or leagues, but if you’re still looking for some fantasy football action while the playoffs go on, and you’re looking for some help then look no further because the Bruno Boys will be here throughout the postseason. As such we’ll be releasing our normal weekly position rankings to help you best decide which players to go with in our Fantasy Football Playoff Challenge. To see where this round’s wide receivers rank continue reading the Super Bowl Round edition of the Bruno Boys Weekly Wide Receiver Rankings.
1. Reggie Wayne (Indianapolis Colts)
Wayne remains the best receiver that will step on the field for the Super Bowl, regardless of his somewhat meek totals from Week 11 on. In the Colts’ nine games since then – including the playoffs – Wayne has just one game with 100 receiving yards, but he’s also scored three touchdowns and has four contests where he’s caught at least five passes.

1. Sidney Rice (Minnesota Vikings) @ New Orleans
Rice ripped Dallas apart in the Divisional Playoffs with a six-catch, 141-yard, three-touchdown game, and he showed in the postseason what he had shown all along in the regular season – that he’s Brett Favre’s favorite target. Rice’s breakout season continues in the NFC Championship Game against the Saints.

1. Larry Fitzgerald (Arizona Cardinals) @ New Orleans
Fitzgerald’s postseason swagger continued from last year’s playoff into this season’s tournament as he grabbed two scoring passes as part of a six-catch, 82-yard day against the 5th ranked pass defense of the Green Bay Packers during Wild Card weekend. New Orleans was just 26th in the league in pass defense this season, so expect Fitzgerald’s torrid streak in the playoffs to continue at least for another weekend.

1. Miles Austin (Dallas Cowboys) vs. Philadelphia
Austin didn’t score a touchdown in the Week 17 meeting between Dallas and the Philadelphia Eagles, but he did have seven receptions for 90 yards. He’s accumulated at least seven catches for 90 yards in five of his last six games, with four touchdowns. There’s no reason to think he’ll slow down in the playoffs.

With the rapid approach of the new year, we are reminded that all things must come to an end, and that is the case with the 2009 regular season as Sunday’s match-up will draw to a close what has been an entertaining season. For many of you, though, the 2009 season will be even better if you are able to secure your league’s title. To help you accomplish that feat, we present the Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Week 17 Wide Receiver Rankings!
1. Andre Johnson (Houston Texans) vs. New England
Johnson didn’t go off the way he had in recent games last week, though it is hard to continually rack up 190+ receiving yards. Even in what was a down game for him, he did catch five passes for 71 yards and one touchdown. This contest should be a good one against the Patriots, with Johnson going toe-to-toe with Randy Moss. Truth be told, neither should be stopped.

1. Andre Johnson (Houston Texans) @ Miami
Johnson is the best receiver in the league, and is proving it week after week. He had nine catches for 196 yards last week against the Rams, almost single-handedly defeating them, and he now has had two consecutive games with at least 190 receiving yards. Miami’s 23rd-ranked pass defense won’t be able to stop him either.

While some wide receivers like Brandon Marshall, Andre Johnson, and DeSean Jackson came up huge for their fantasy owners in week 14, others not quite so much. We’re looking at you and your negative-1 point Mr. Randy Moss. To see which wide receivers will rise to the challenge in week 15, check out the Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Week 15 Wide Receiver Rankings.
1. Larry Fitzgerald (Arizona Cardinals) @ Detroit **CHECK INJURY STATUS**
Fitzgerald had one of his worst games of the season against the 49ers on Monday night, but then again, that was a common theme among Cardinals players in their bizarre seven turnover loss in San Fran. Fitzgerald hurt his knee in the game, but came back in, so that shouldn’t be a worry this week. Fantasy owners, though, shouldn’t worry about the defense that Arizona is playing this week – no team allows more passing yards per game or passing scores than the Lions.

1. Larry Fitzgerald (Arizona Cardinals) @ San Francisco
Kurt Warner’s reentry into the starting lineup made Fitzgerald regain the fantasy value he was losing when Noodle Arm Matt Leinart was under center. And it showed last week against the Minnesota Vikings, as Fitzgerald collected eight passes for a season-high 143 yards and one score.

1. Andre Johnson (Houston Texans) @ Jacksonville
Johnson had a disappointing total of 67 receiving yards last week against the Indianapolis Colts, a team he had earlier burned for over 100. He’s, also, scored just once over his last six games, but look for that to change this week against a Jacksonville team that has allowed the fourth-most touchdowns to opposing wide outs this year with 15.

Last week was an interesting one for fantasy football fans. We saw some firsts, like Michael Crabtree’s touchdown catch; some births, such as Robert Meachem seemingly becoming the favorite red-zone option for Drew Brees; and some rebirths, in the form of Terrell Owens finally having a huge game. And as the fantasy football playoffs loom right around the corner, we’re here to help you round it and cross the finish line with this Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Week 12 Wide Receiver Rankings.
1. Larry Fitzgerald (Arizona Cardinals) @ Tennessee
Fitzgerald caught another touchdown pass last week in the Cardinals’ win over the St. Louis Rams – it was the third game in succession that he found his way into the end zone. His match-up this week against the woeful outfit the Tennessee Titans put out there to defend the pass is one to savor. However, if Kurt Warner (head injury) can’t give it a go on Sunday and the Cardinals’ are forced to use Matt Leinart you might not see as much yardage out of Fitzgerald.
