5. Peyton Manning (Ind) vs. Chris Johnson (Ten)

Bruno Boys Whooley: MANNING. As good as Johnson’s been, and with 128 or more rushing yards in each of his last six contests he’s been good, I can’t go against Peyton, who hasn’t been too shabby himself. The Colts’ QB is averaging 18.7 points per game this season.

Bruno Boys Cavigs: JOHNSON. You can go wrong with either option here but if the Tennessee Titans are going to keep this game close it will be because of Chris Johnson. In an earlier meeting this year the Titans got behind early and Johnson managed just 11 touches but don’t expect that to be the case again. Look for both to flirt with 20 fantasy points in standard leagues.

6. Mike Sims Walker (Jac) vs. Andre Johnson (Hou)

Bruno Boys Cavigs: JOHNSON. Both have been top-10 wide receiver threats to date, but can you really go against Andre Johnson I think not. With Rashean Mathis being out the Jacksonville Jaguars have no one that can cover Johnson and he is due for one of those monster games in which he hauls in 100 yards and at least one touchdown..

Bruno Boys Whooley: SIMS-WALKER. I know everything points to taking Johnson here, but I’m going to gamble and take the underdog. Call it a gut call, but Sims-Walker has yet to post back-to-back duds this season, and with just four points in week 12, I’d say that means he’s due for a big game here.

7. Jamaal Charles (KC) vs. Knowshon Moreno (Den)

Bruno Boys Whooley: CHARLES. Many may just look at these match-ups and give the edge to Moreno, but while the Broncos were tough against the New York Giants’ rush offense on Thanksgiving, prior to that, they had given up 13+ fantasy points to opposing running backs in seven straight games. Charles has been taking advantage of the opportunity that has come with Larry Johnson being released, and he should continue to do so.

Bruno Boys Cavigs: CHARLES. I wasn’t lying when I told you Jamaal Charles has always been a guy who can make things happen. Charles has always had a high yard per touch average and in an expanded role he hasn’t disappointed. The dynamic running back has 330 total yards on 57 touches over the last three games to go along with four touchdowns. If you own him, start him.

8. Robert Meachem (NO) vs. Devery Henderson (NO)

Bruno Boys Cavigs: MEACHEM. Despite having just 13 catches over the last four games, Meachem has five touchdown receptions during that span and is looking to make it five straight games with a score. With Drew Brees targeting Meachem around the end zone it’s hard to bet against him right now.

Bruno Boys Whooley: MEACHEM. The Saints’ wide receivers are extremely difficult to predict week in and week out. As such, I’m simply riding the hot hand her, and with four straight games of 12 or more fantasy points, that’s Meachem.

9. Chris Jennings (Cle) vs. Jerome Harrison (Cle)

Bruno Boys Whooley: NEITHER. As a fantasy expert, I cannot in good faith recommend any Cleveland Brown. When your team averages just 11.1 points per contest, a number somewhat skewed in the Browns’ favor thanks to the 37 points they put up against the Detroit Lions in Week 11, there just aren’t enough opportunities for fantasy production.

Bruno Boys Cavigs: NEITHER. The Cleveland Browns sport arguably the most pathetic offense in the NFL and as of Friday night it’s unknown who will see the carries for the Browns. Jennings has been seeing a heavier workload but his slightly banged up and Harrison hasn’t scored a fantasy point since Week 8. Stay Away.

10. Kurt Warner (Ari) & Larry Fitzgerald (Ari) vs. Brett Favre (Min) & Sidney Rice (Min)

Bruno Boys Cavigs: FAVRE & RICE. Even if Kurt Warner was at full strength the edge goes to the men wearing purple in my opinion. The Minnesota Vikings feature the second highest scoring offense in the NFL and Brett Favre has 12 TDs to zero INTs over his last four games. Can you say M-V-P?

Bruno Boys Whooley: FAVRE & RICE. Coming off an injury that involved concussion like symptoms, it may take Warner a little time to get in sync again with his wide outs. As for Favre and Rice, they’re running on all cylinders.

11. Marion Barber (Dal) vs. Felix Jones (Dal) vs. Brandon Jacobs (NYG)

Bruno Boys Whooley: BARBER. Seeing as I’ve lost all faith in Jacobs at this point and time, I have to go with the Dallas back that’s guaranteed to get the most touches. That my friends is Marion Barber. However, with his explosiveness, Felix Jones could win this battle with just one big play.

Bruno Boys Cavigs: BARBER. Only three teams have allowed more rushing touchdowns on the season then the New York Giants and Marion Barber has been touching the football at a more consistent rate over the last two weeks. It’s not often I guarantee touchdowns from an individual player but this week Barber hits pay dirt.

12. Alex Smith (SF) vs. Matt Hasselbeck (Sea)

Bruno Boys Cavigs: SMITH. Tough game on the road but it seems as if head coach Mike Singletary has opened up the offense to Smith’s liking. The 49ers ran 34 plays out of the shotgun and Smith threw the ball a season high 41 times. Don’t expect that many passes this week but 200 yards and a touchdown or two is likely against a struggling Seattle Seahawks secondary.

Bruno Boys Whooley: SMITH. In Week 12, the San Francisco 49ers opened up the offense, allowing Smith to operate from the shot gun in a spread formation. That decision translated to a solid day in which Smith threw for 232 yards and 2 TDs. He should post another solid day this week against the Seattle Seahawks.

13. Ricky Williams (Mia) vs. Laurence Maroney (NE)

Bruno Boys Whooley: WILLIAMS. With the Miami Dolphins allowing the 11th fewest points to opposing RBs and the Patriots the 9th, the match-up isn’t as much in Maroney’s favor as one might think. As such, I’m going with Williams. The Dolphins back has looked like the Ricky of old, going for over 100 yards in each of his last three games and will get a much heavier work load than Maroney in this one.

Bruno Boys Cavigs: Maroney. It’s quite simple if you shutdown Ricky Williams you beat the Miami Dolphins and you better believe the New England Patriots are going to dial up a game-plan to keep him in check. As for Maroney, he won’t rival the yardage of Williams but expect the touchdown streak to continue in Week 13.

14. James Jones (GB) vs. Mark Clayton (Bal)

Bruno Boys Cavigs: CLAYTON. No doubt about it James Jones is the better touchdown threat but Clayton should do an adequate job against the Green Bay Packers second string defensive backs while Charles Woodson puts the lock down on Derrick Mason. Both are risky plays but Clayton should be the better yardage option.

Bruno Boys Whooley: JONES. Call me crazy, but I’d rather go with a guy who has Aaron Rodgers throwing him the ball than Joe Flacco, even if it means taking a team’s No. 3 receiver over another squad’s No. 2.
