Conference championship weekend is upon us, which means that we’re another week closer to the end of the NFL season. With just four teams still in the Super Bowl hunt, fantasy football owners still competing in playoff formats will find their options for starters at the skill positions fairly limited. The good news is that some familiar names (e.g., Aaron Rodgers, Rashard Mendenhall) that fantasy owners relied on all season are on playoff teams and are still available.
With one game standing between them and a trip to North Texas for this weekend’s winners, let’s take a look at the Bruno Boys Fantasy Football Start ‘Ems for the NFL Championship Round.
QUARTERBACKS - START ‘EM
Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers) @ Chicago
Rodgers had an excellent performance in the Divisional Round against the Atlanta Falcons, going 31-for-36 for 366 yards and three touchdowns along with a rushing touchdown in the Packers’ decisive victory. He now has six passing touchdowns without an interception through two playoff games. That said, things stand to get tougher in the NFC Championship Game against the Packers’ North division rival Chicago Bears. In Week 3 against the Bears in Chicago, Rodgers threw for 316 yards and one touchdown, tossed one pick, and rushed for a score. More recently, Rodgers threw for 229 yards and a touchdown in Green Bay’s 10-3victory over Chicago in the final game of the regular season. Rodgers is arguably the hottest quarterback left in the playoffs right now, so fantasy owners should not waver from plugging him into their lineups again this week under any circumstances.
