2009 Fantasy Football Draft Sheet

In a pinch for a skill player that will produce at a high level for you this week but not sure what route to go? Well no need to fret the small stuff because the Bruno Boys will help make your lineup decision easier. From Quarterbacks to Defenses we have you covered on who you should feel comfortable about plugging into your Week 12 lineup. Now, it’s time to cut to the chase and read our Fantasy Football Week 12 Start Ems advice.

QUARTERBACKS – START ‘EM

Matt Hasselbeck (Seattle Seahawks) @ St. Louis

Hasselbeck has been an able starter given the right match-ups this season, and this is one of those match-ups. He burned the Rams for 279 yards and 3 touchdowns in his first game against them in 2009, and he should rebound in this one from a couple mediocre games the past few weekends. The Rams have allowed nearly 16 points a week to opposing QBs and that’s with most of them not throwing in the 2nd half. If you’re tied up and in a bind this weekend, Hasselbeck should post 250 yards and 3 TDs, while his WRs should flourish on turf.

Matt Ryan (Atlanta Falcons) vs. Tampa Bay

Fantasy owners have learned that Tampa Bay’s pass defense equals fantasy QB start. Ryan has been up and down in his sophomore season, but it seemed just a matter of time until he figured out how to utilize Roddy White AND Tony Gonzalez. The Buccaneers have allowed 22 TDs to fantasy QBs through 11 weeks and with Ryan getting on track (268 yards and 2 TD in week 11) this is a match-up to use to your advantage.

Carson Palmer (Cincinnati Bengals) vs. Cleveland

With an unknown rushing attack (the definition of a potential RBBC in week 12), the glue that has held this team together should post some nice numbers against a horrendous Cleveland Browns defense. With Cedric Benson banged up, Palmer may see a few more QB sneaks into the end zone in week 12. Granted the Bengals will look to exploit the Browns rush defense, but Palmer could be efficiently effective if fantasy owners are in need of QB help. 220 yards and 2 TDs is a good idea of what you will get from him versus Cleveland in the battle of Ohioans.

RUNNING BACKS - START ‘EM

Ricky Williams (Miami Dolphins) @ Buffalo

This is a no-brainer. Ricky Williams showed last weekend that he could still dominate when given the opportunity. The few years off of “finding himself” went a long way for his fantasy value. While the Bills were able to hold MJD to 13 fantasy points last weekend, the Bills probably won’t be able to hold down Ricky. They’ve allowed nearly 27 fantasy points a game to opposing RBs, so Miami should pound the ground all day long.

Justin Forsett (Seattle Seahawks) @ St. Louis

Going up against the Rams is typically a godsend, so while we believe Hasselbeck should be a solid start, Forsett is valuable in the passing game as well as on the ground. Even without being able to run last weekend, he still posted 89 total yards and a TD, and the game before he amassed 149 total yards with a TD. Take into account that the Rams give up 23 points per game to fantasy RBs, and you have yourself a must start in week 12.

Matt Forte (Chicago Bears) @ Minnesota

In what is a bad rushing match-up, this isn’t a Week 12 Start ‘Em on paper (or screen). However, while Forte may not break out for any long gains, he is a valuable asset in the passing game, which is much needed to succeed against the Vikings. If you’ve been waiting on him all season to truly show his elite RB skills, it may be too late, but 75 total yards and a TD can be attainable for Forte.
