I’m estactic after wining the title but I’m just as happy to find this site & tangle w/ some good fantasy players. Big Thanks to Bruno Boys! You guys supply excellent info to us fantasy players.
Love the sun morning Q & A’s for last minute nuggets. Big Thanks to my core players. They carried me to the title. Matt “Air Attack” Shaub was huge. Frank Gore & Thomas Jones took care of the ground game. Can’t say enough about AJohnson, VJax, & DJax on the outside. Sidney Rice & Matt Prater were my biggest FA pickups. Keller & Carlson helped out after losing Daniels to IR.

I definitely look forward to defending the title next year. Later!

2010 February Staff Mock Draft —Share Your Thoughts

As you know from the articles that have been published on the website, as a staff we have already started Mock Drafting for the 2010 season. On February 15, 2010, our staff kicked of a 12-team standard scoring Mock Draft to help prepare our fans for the upcoming fantasy football season. Obviously, things will change from now until September; however,this should give you a gauge of what to expect come fantasy football draft season.

Also, Bruno Boys Nation, we want you to share your comments on how the draft is playing out. We want to know what you agree or disagree on. What you are surprised about. Who has the best team thus far, etc. You know all of the stuff that makes for some good conversation.

We are currently done with three full rounds and I will get everyone caught up to date with who has been drafted. Moving forward we will keep you posted as players are selected. We want this to be interactive and give everyone a place to talk fantasy football in February!

With that being said, enjoy the draft and we look forward to your commentary. No holding back... if you feel someone made a bad pick let them know! I’m sure our staff would love to defend their decisions!

Note: The Mock Draft will be a 16-round affair based on a standard scoring league (Pass TDs - 4 points, All Other TDs - 6 points, 25 Yards Passing - 1 point, 10 Yards Rushing/Receiving - 1 point)

IDP Breakout Players for the 2010 Season

Hello Everyone!

I thought this would be a great thread to start. Essentially, it will be a “data dump” of all IDP owners’ input on which IDPs they believe will have a breakout 2010 season. I will get the ball rolling with some of my predictions:

DE Everette Brown
DE Connor Barwin
DE Glen Dorsey - Chiefs
WLB - Michael Boley
MLB - DeAndre Levy
MLB? - Rey Maualuga
MLB - Justin Durant
JACK Linebacker - Dannell Ellerbe
WLB - Geno Hayes
SS - Kenny Phillips
FS - LaRon Landry

Some of these guys have already somewhat established their fantasy relevancy. However, I think all players listed have a really good chance at improving upon their 2009 numbers.

I’m interested to see if fellow IDP owners agree/disagree with my thoughts. Bring it on!

With the 2009 fantasy football season a thing of the past and 2010 fantasy drafts just seven months away I think it’s time that everyone in Bruno Boys Nation starts projecting players value for the upcoming fantasy football season. More Details will follow shortly but the goal here is to get everyone in the[ b] Bruno Boys Nation community involved in determining if the discussed player is worth targeting in 2010.

One of our staff members will post a specific player of the day and everyone in the Bruno Boys Nation will be able to discuss his 2010 stat projections and what round he should be targeted in 2010 fantasy drafts.

As a staff, our feeling behind this is that it will help fantasy owners’ get a head start on players and help with determining their worth well before your season kicks off. Obviously the landscape in the NFL is changing on a regular basis but this will be a GREAT starting point.

I’m excited to introduce this to all of the great members of this website and I hope you are all excited to participate in some daily Player Projections.

2010 Projection - QB Matt Ryan

It was far from the year many projected for Atlanta Falcons quarterback Matt Ryan. The second year pro finished the 2009 season with 2916 passing yards, 22 TDs and 14 INTs (16 total turnovers). On top of that, Ryan missed two full games to injury and left another one early in the first quarter. His 172 fantasy points in standard leagues ranked 19th amongst quarterbacks but his inconsistent play was hard to overlook. Ryan had a stretch of five games in the middle of the season in which he combined for just 44 fantasy points.

With another year of maturity and growth under his belt Ryan should improve on his statistics in 2010. He did throw six more TD passes from his rookie season and with Roddy White and Tony Gonzalez he has the weapons to impress in 2010. A healthy Michael Turner at running back and better decision making in the pocket are two important factors in the growth of Matt Ryan.
