Does anyone else think the Ravens will make the playoffs as a WILD CARD.
Remaining schedule is favorable especially if they win Monday v GB and steal another one from PITT in a few weeks. There 3 other games are against DET, CHI and OAK
Could end up 11-5 worst case 9-7
I feel they are built for the playoffs with a strong run game and decent D that has been steadily getting better.
If they get in I don’t see too many teams that would be eager to play them.
Anyone like to weigh in on this. I would appreciate your opinions.
That loss by the Pittsburgh Steelers at home to the Oakland Raiders should significantly help the Baltimore Ravens chances. Of course they need to take care of business tomorrow night and get hot at the right time but it’s always nice to see a contender lose a game that everyone thought they would win.
I think that two out of Miami, Baltimore, Pittsburgh and Denver will get the wild card spots. I know the Jaguars are 7-5 and the Jets are in the hunt but Jacksonville has Miami this week, followed by Indianapolis and New England. Like most years the AFC & NFC Wild Card spots are coming down to the last game of the season.
I think the Ravens better hope the Colts try to beat Jax and the Jets!
Looks like the Colts are going to be playing their starters in full for at least one more week. According to Jim Caldwell they will play in full against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 15. This is good news for all of the Baltimore Ravens, New York Jets, Denver Broncos and Miami Dolphins fans out there.
I honestly feel Dolphins will make playoffs, not because i’m a fan, but because GB will beat the ravens next week, Miami has Titans(without Young), Steelers(who are in a slump and pretty much givin up), and the texans(who’ve had their issues). I do feel Henne is getting control of the ball and moving it well, with Bess totaling 100+ yard 2 weeks ago now this week Camarillo 100+ yards. Colts will beat jags.
I feel that MIA or BALT has the best chance of taking one of the WILD CARD spots. I think JAX, NYJ and HOU are all left out with either 8-8 or 7-9 records.
DEN should be abe to win 2 of final 3 games OAK n KC probably lose to PHILA and keep the other slot.
We’‘l have to wait and see how it all shakes out.
One thing I know is that BAL must beat PITT a second time this year if we are making the playoffs. If BAL loses it drops their DIV record to 3-3
MIA has 4-2 DIV record and even if they lose 1 more game. The divisional tie breaker favors them for the wild card. The same thing happened last year to NE, but it was in BAL favor.
Common opponent tie breaker would favor Ravens again if they beat PITT even if MIA gets a win against PITT in wk 17.
So RAVENS control their destiny if they run the table and finish 10-6. Not an easy task by any means.
Flock - As expected the Ravens took care of business on Sunday and they continue to control their own destiny. Should be a GREAT game in Pittsburgh this week with their season on the line. It’s win or go home for both of these teams (especially the Steelers).
I could only imagine how fired up you will be for this game and I hope that you have some fantasy teams alive in Week 16 to make the week that much more enjoyable!
It was great week for RAVENS fans. I think even if we lose to PITT now and win week17 v OAK we should be in as a WILD CARD. I’m affraid BMORE lost another CB though and with the NFL being a pass happy league it will be a tough challenge for their D to go deep in the playoffs or win the SB, but I’m still hopeful and will stick with my RAVENS to the end.
My fantasy team is still alive thanks to CAROLINA whipping MINN. My opponnent had their D last night and I needef CAR to score 20-21 for me to win. MINN 7 CAR 26.
I swapped kickers for BIRONAS and it paid off I won by 5 this week.
Although it was a tough weekend for my team. Unable to overcome the home cookin’ in PITT.
We are still lookin’ pretty thanks to Philly handlin’ the Donkeys and MIA droppin’ another game to what I thought as a lesser opponent.
All B’More must do week 17 is win @ OAK.
I think the Ravens will take a serious approach to this important game and make it into the post season.
OAK has played well at home and as long as J’MARC doesn’t get in the game they have a chance. to pull the upset.
Can’t wait to watch .

It’s going to be a good one. Oakland has played well over the seasons second half and has had some big victories over good teams. On top of that, the Raiders are familiar with the spoiler role. In 2008, they beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (in Tampa) on Week 17 and ended the Buccaneers season. It also led to the firing of John Gruden.
If the Ravens go into Oakland and stick to their gameplan and don’t make mistakes they should take care of business but it’s going to be a hard fought football game and one that is going to be closer than people might think.
Enjoy your Week 17 Sunday and I hope Baltimore pulls it off because I’m a 49ers fan, and 49er fans don’t like the Hater Nation.

I think Baltimore gets in. Oakland does play better at home but I just don’t think the Raiders have enough to hang with a hungry Ravens team. Also, and this is tough for me to admit considering I’m a Bengals fan, but I’m actually rooting for the Ravens to get in the playoffs. I really don’t like the Ravens at all, but I like them more than the Steelers so this week I’ll be waiving the black and purple flag.
