Pickle… While I am a die-hard fan of March Madness, and follow college basketball just as much as any other sport, I am confused what you are trying to do with this thread.  Are you trying to get people to talk about March Madness? Discuss their favorite team? Tell you if they like watching the NCAA tournament?

Glad you are trying to strike up some conversation; however, I’d imagine a lot of the readers aren’t sure what you want to discuss.

Since this is clearly not making progress I will ask a few questions for anyone who would like to answer (including you Pickle)...

1. What College Basketball team do you root for?

2. How big of a fan are you during March Madness?

3. How often do you watch College Basketball on TV?

4. If you had to predict the Final Four right now, who would it be?

alright then,

best part of march madness is the bracket playoff games and the first round.  love the buzzer beater upsets

Pickle… Duke is always hanging around the top 10 year in and year gets so much exposure that I can see how the casual college hoops fan would like them. However, I am not a fan of Duke and think they are over-hyped (though they do play good fundamental basketball).

Being that you don’t pay much attention to it I was wondering how you fare in the March Madness tournament pools?  I know a lot of people that don’t follow all season long, join their office or family pool, and then win it all or do well.. 

Finally, I agree with you about the buzzer beaters. In the tourney there are usually 3-4 per year and a lot of close games that go down to the wire.

i agree with you, but you have to admit, watching coach k’s crooked smile is always worth the price of admission.  plus a catholic school with a devil as a mascot is just crazy.  life tends to reduce my ability to follow it prior to madness.  i think the playoff scenario is the most exciting of all pools due to how easy (or appears to be) it is for underdogs to linger and then throw a last shot to win.  plus by the shear amount of teams the first weekend is just nuts.  on the other hand hockey playoffs especially in the first round or two are painful to watch.  really, do we need a best of 7 to prove who needs to move on?
