The battle for Los Angeles will be a great matchup to watch this week as a red hot Phillip Rivers takes on the daunting Rams defense. While there is some concern with this being a potentially high scoring game, I would take the chance at grabbing one of the top defenses in the league this week in DFS as they find themselves priced right outside the top-3 options.
The Rams DST has averaged 15 fantasy points per game this season on DraftKings. While they were an obvious play against the Cardinals league worst offense last week, the defense was actually more active in Week 1 against the Raiders.
The Rams have already earned 4 interceptions on this young season, 1 of which was returned for a TD to go along with 2 sacks. While Phillip Rivers does have that gunslinger nature at heart, he is still prone to making plenty of mistakes.
Rivers has quietly led the league in interceptions in two of the last four seasons and recorded the highest sack percentage in the league last season per pro-football-reference.com. Even if the score gets out of hand here, the Rams defense should have plenty of opportunities to capitalize on mistakes.
