This is the first big bye week of the 2019 season and it’s a doozy as four teams are on break: Buffalo, Indianapolis, Oakland and Chicago. Many teams have shown who they are, while we’re still waiting to see if others have shown their makeup or if they’ll evolve into something down the road. Either way, Week 6 is an opportunity to keep the momentum going in the right direction.
Seasoned fantasy players know about the studs and chalky plays so at Bruno Boys we try to help wade through the matchups on those tougher decisions, or point out when there’s a great matchup that you should go all-in on.
Still, we feel very strong about these recommendations and you should use them to help guide you to your starting lineup.
Here are your Week 6 Fantasy Football Tight Ends to Sit.
Jason Witten, Dallas Cowboys at New York Jets
Witten has been just what the doctor ordered when you look at how badly the team needed a reliable pass catcher on third down. He is fourth on the team on converting first downs and has consistently been targeted four times each game. At the start he was scoring, which made him a high end TE2, but he’s gone three weeks without a touchdown and has not eclipsed 55 yards receiving.
The Jets have allowed just one tight end to burn them this season and that was Zach Ertz. All other tight ends have failed to get much more than the minimum and that’s why we’d bench Witten this week if you’ve been skimming along with him in your lineups.
