K Sits: Ka’imi Fairbairn, Houston Texans at Detroit Lions
Fairbairn has sat in the middle of a lot of weeks, not being able to get enough opportunities, and in others he surprises. Last week was just one of three top 10 finishes for Fairbairn, but against teams that have statistically been tough on opposing kickers, the Houston kicker has come up short. Detroit usually does very well against the position, holding most kickers to 5.0 points or less, but the last two have reached 10.0 points. While those are positive trends in Fairbairn’s corner, we think the Texans will be scoring touchdowns to try and put the Lions away early given their injuries on offense. We just don’t see the chance to kick multiple field goals for Fairbairn.
