Check out Marc Caviglia’s fantasy football rankings and hot takes on the Week 4 tight end matchups:
- Miami Dolphins tight end Mike Gesicki ranks No. 5 at the position in fantasy points per game. He’s averaging 11.8 ppg in .5 PPR leagues and has 12 receptions for 175 receiving yards and 2 scores in three games. However, if you do a deep dive into his game log all but 4 receptions and 45 yards came in a single game in Week 2 and he hasn’t done much the other two games. Don’t expect a bounce back performance in Week 4 against the Seattle Seahawks. While Seattle has struggled against the pass, they are allowing just 3 receptions and 35 yards per game to opposing tight ends and odds are they will keep Gesicki out of the end zone and less than 50 receiving yards.
- A guy I am really high on in Week 4 is T.J. Hockenson of the Detroit Lions. He has at least 4 receptions and 53 receiving yards in every game this season and is averaging 13.16 yards per catch. You can expect another TE1 performance from Hockenson this week against the New Orleans Saints who rank dead last in the NFL at defending the position. The Saints are giving up 10 receptions, 97 yards and over a TD per game to tight ends and Hockenson is a true threat to have a season-high in yards and find the end zone on Sunday.
