Check out Marc Caviglia’s fantasy football rankings and hot takes on the Week 5 tight end matchups:

  • Pittsburgh Steelers tight end Eric Ebron continues to build a rapport with QB Ben Roethlisberger and is in a position to have a big Week 5. Ebron hauled in 5 receptions for 52 yards and a TD in a Week 3 victory for the Steelers and now he should be able to pick apart the Philadelphia Eagles and their linebackers. The Eagles are allowing 6.3 receptions, 68.8 yards and a TD per game to opposing tight ends. I like Ebron for 50 yards and a score this week.
  • Hayden Hurst has put together a solid four games in Atlanta. He has 13 receptions for 162 receiving yards and 2 touchdown receptions. Hurst is also averaging an impressive 12.5 yards per reception. All great numbers for his fantasy owners, but in Week 5 against the Carolina Panthers yardage might be tough to come by for Hooper. The Panthers have contained opposing TEs to just 37.5 yards per game and 1 total touchdown. Odds are Hooper will get 5-7 targets in this game but unless he can find the end zone, I don’t see him getting anything over 50 receiving yards.

Rankings are based on the following scoring:
6 points per touchdown
1 point per 10 rushing & receiving yards
-2 points per turnover
.5 point & 1 point per reception (toggle to find scoring format)
