Check out Marc Caviglia’s fantasy football rankings and hot takes on the Week 6 team defense matchups:

  • Looking for a team defense to stream in Week 6, take a long look at the surging Miami Dolphins. They bucked up on the road last week and took it to the San Francisco 49ers, collecting 2 interceptions, 1 fumble recovery and sacking the QB five different times. The Dolphins 14 point effort in standard ESPN and Yahoo games marked the 2nd time in three weeks they’ve scored 10-plus fantasy points and I love their chance to do it again. The New York Jets are allowing opposing defenses to score 11.4 fantasy points per game against them and have been sacked 15 times on the season. The Jets are also averaging just 13.8 points per game. Anyway you look at this matchup, it’s a mismatch and the Dolphins will get their fantasy points.
  • A couple defense that have been good this season that I suggest fantasy owners stay away from are the Cleveland Browns (7th in DST scoring) and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (3rd in DST scoring). Both teams take on high powered offenses and are expected to be involved in high scoring contests. Take a look at the waiver wire and find a potential better streaming option on your waiver wire.
  • A few defenses I like this week as streaming options include the New York Giants against the Washington Football Team and the Los Angeles Rams against the San Francisco 49ers. Washington has been a debacle on offense and QB Kyle Allen is very unfamiliar with his teammates, having started the year as a backup. As for the Rams, they should take advantage of a Niners offense that is reeling and turning the football over at a high rate and allowing QB sacks at an even higher one

Rankings are based on the following scoring:
2 point per interception
2 point per fumble recovery
1 point per sack
2 points for safety
6 point for defensive/return touchdown
