Bennie Snell, Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Denver Broncos
The Broncos’ run defense is typically a good part of their defense, but perhaps Von Miller’s absence is part to blame. They gave up 130.0 yards to the Titans and while they have a very good running back, they did stuff him on a few occasions. However, surrendering over 100 yards rushing is something Steelers’ head coach Mike Tomlin is going to game plan.
The Steelers don’t have to run the ball but they will. Snell became the Steelers feature back when James Conner went down with an ankle injury and he filled in marvelously, running 19 times for 113 yards. Snell could be fill in for another week, maybe more, even when Conner returns. If the Steelers go up big, and we expect them to, Snell should get the ball a lot in the second half.
UPDATE: James Conner will play and split carries with Snell. Both are no higher than flexes this week.
