PPR ALERT: Michael Carter, New York Jets

With an ADP of 6.11, I’m not sure how many people are sleeping on Carter. He’s also the first Jets player going off the board with his teammate WR Elijah Moore going four rounds later at the bottom of the 10th round. That said, these are the Jets. With rookies at head coach and quarterback, there are low expectations for Gang-Green.

Carter finds himself in the midst of a position battle with free agent pickup Tevin Coleman as the current king of the hill. Incumbents Ty Johnson and La’Mical Perine will fight for a roster spot too. But Carter offers skills that can earn him immediate playing time.

Listed at 5-8, 201 pounds, Carter has another gear and can catch out of the backfield. That means that Carter will enter the season as a flex candidate, helping bail Zach Wilson out of trouble. With lots of youth and a promising offensive line, there are sure to be growing pains, but those who are late to fill quality depth at running back could find lighting in a bottle with Carter.
