Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins at New England Patriots
This pick is more of a reflection of where we expect the Patriots defense to be. They are getting an injection of talent that they didn’t have last year due to players opting out of the 2020 season. Many of them are back and New England uncharacteristically spent a lot in free agency to make up some of the deficiencies they had.
As for Tua, we’re in a wait and see mode. We don’t know yet what to expect out of Tagovailoa. We’re not sure if he’s a game manager type, or will having his college teammate Jaylen Waddle help open up the offensive playbook? Will the Dolphins feature Myles Gaskin or DeVante Parker? Will Tagovailoa utilize Mike Gesicki a lot or a little? Without seeing some body of consistent work, it’s too early to say and knowing that Bill Belichick has prepared all training camp for this, you know he’ll be throwing a lot at the young quarterback.
