Here are the Week 18 Fantasy Football Wide Receivers to Sit.
Russell Gage, Atlanta Falcons vs. New Orleans Saints
The Saints are in the playoff hunt headed into Week 18. That’s because they’re riding the strength of their defense and dynamic players on offense like Alvin Kamara and Taysom Hill. But back to the defense, they’ve given up the second-fewest fantasy points to the running back, and on paper, they’re average against the pass.
But since Week 10, the Saints have allowed just five receivers to go over 10.0 points. Teams with at least three talented receivers give them trouble. However, teams that have just one or two dynamic playmakers, like Atlanta, they’ve minimized the damage.
As for Gage, he’s had moments of brilliance this season,, but it has typically been against weaker secondaries. Against the Saints back in Week 9, Gage caught 7-of-8 targets for 64 scoreless yards. With the Saints needing to win to stay alive, look for the Falcons to get their best.
