Who to start and who to sit? That’s the question that plagues everyone who plays fantasy football on a weekly basis? It’s the question that leaves players anguishing in tears and second-guessing. Okay, maybe that’s a little dramatic but there’s some truth to it.
Honestly, it’s the one question you need to answer right in order to do well in this crazy game of fantasy. Will you get it right all the time? No, because football will surprise, especially if you buy into the adage: On any given Sunday, any team can beat any other team. But relax, we’re here to help you work through those decisions with as much information as you need to be confident in a decision you can stand by.
Here are the Week 3 Fantasy Football Kickers to Sit.
Evan McPherson, Cincinnati Bengals at Pittsburgh Steelers
In 2020, just two kickers managed to score double-digit points against the Steelers. This season, two have already done it. But that doesn’t necessarily mean that McPherson is a streaming option this week. He does have the range, already converting two field goals from beyond 50 yards.
But this offense has not been efficient with their possessions and Joe Burrow keeps throwing interceptions which kills any chance of the Bengals sustaining or obtaining a lead. Even with the long range, McPherson has just three field goals so far. With a banged up Tee Higgins, and Burrow losing yardage getting sacked a league-leading 10 times, McPherson might not get enough opportunities to land on the fantasy radar for Week 3.
