Stream Alert: Evan Engram, New York Giants at Dallas Cowboys
The much maligned Engram makes his third start of the season and will be relied on in this game. Sterling Shepard and Darius Slayton will be out for Week 5 and Daniel Jones will look to see who else can catch the ball against a weak Cowboys secondary. Assuming Kenny Golladay will be covered by Trevon Diggs, the Giants will look to target Engram, Kyle Rudolph, and the running backs.
Engram was activated in Week 3 and since then has received six targets in each of the last two games. Hopefully he puts his drops behind him and takes advantage of the situation and gets back on track in becoming a reliable tight end option.
Austin Hooper, Cleveland Browns at Los Angeles Chargers — The Chargers have given up touchdowns or 100-yard receiving games to four different tight ends. The Browns are looking for quality receiving options to make up for injuries to Jarvis Landry, and so Hooper and to a lesser extent, David Njoku and Harrison Bryant will all get targets in this game.
Jonnu Smith / Hunter Henry, New England Patriots at Houston Texans — Neither one is worth owning over the other, but both are emerging targets. Mac Jones hit both for a touchdown last week, but neither the yards, nor the receptions are enough to push both above the 10.0 point threshold unless you’re playing in a full point PPR league. Henry has a slight edge if both are available.
Dawson Knox, Buffalo Bills at Kansas City Chiefs — Knox has been pushing his way up in to the TE1 conversation and has touchdowns in the last three games. With the Bills scoring over 30 points with regularity, getting a piece of this offense is popular and wise strategy, even it’s just Knox’s 8-15 points.
