Evan Engram, TE, Jacksonville Jaguars

Engram is the new Jaguars’ tight end and based on ADP, fantasy players are avoiding the Jaguars. But I feel really good about Engram’s landing spot because Doug Pederson loves to use his tight ends.

There are four tight ends in total with Dan Arnold, Chris Manhertz, and Luke Farrell joining Engram. Arnold and Engram are expected to be the route runners while Manhertz and Farrell will be in-line blockers. All of the Jaguars’ tight ends except for Farrell are on one-year contracts. So look for these tight ends to go out and play for their next contract.

O.J. Howard, TE, Houston Texans

Originally signed by the Bills in the offseason, Howard did not make Buffalo’s 53-man roster. But he’s too good not to find a team to play on, which is why the Texans signed him and cut Chris Conley for the second time this week to make it work. Howard will join a tight end room that includes Brevin Jordan and Pharaoh Brown. Provided he can stay healthy, Howard should make an immediate impact on a team starving for playmakers.
