I can’t think of a more fun game this weekend than the Raiders-Chargers game. There’s a lot of electricity in this matchup with a lot of offensive juice on both sides. Neither defense is a dominant force so I don’t feel like any player will get suffocated out of the game plan.
Allen’s matchup is very favorable as the Raiders starting corners, Rock Ya-Sin and Nate Hobbs are good but beatable. Justin Herbert is averaging 292.2 passing yards per game over his first 32 games. That’s an eye-popping number and that’s why he’s been the fastest to his 9,350 yards. He’ll be throwing the pill a lot today and so you’ll see the receiving yards for Allen and Mike Williams climb.
I will say that last year, Allen didn’t have a lot of luck against the Raiders. His receptions were high, but he just didn’t get the yardage. That said, Allen has caught nearly 1,000 yards against the Raiders in his career and since 2017, caught 68 yards or more, five times. Just getting a good feeling about this game, which is why I like Allen going over 67.5 yards.Â
