Welcome, Bruno Boys Nation to the Week 13 of the 2022 NFL Season! Along with the variety of fantasy football formats, we cover Player Prop bets. So in case you just want some quick action for the weekend, Ernie Estrella is tackling Player Prop betting during the season. He will break down the wiser bets for five players (2 in-depth, 3 quick) at quarterback, running back and wide receiver, based on how he sees the game script going.
Week 13 Quarterbacks
Mike White will throw OVER 259.5 yards (-110 BetMGM) against the Vikings
Start Time: Sunday, December 4, U.S. Bank Stadium 1:00pm ET
Broadcast: CBS Sports / Paramount / NFL+
I don’t know if I’m feeding the Mike White “legend” here by featuring him in our player props but that’s how confident I would feel in placing this bet. There might be a better prop for White (257.5 -125 DraftKings) but I like my readers getting more of a payout and I do think White easily throws over 260 yards to beat it.
The Vikings have one of the worst pass defenses in the league. They’ve allowed five 300-yard games including three of their last five games. They’ve also allowed an additional two quarterbacks to throw for 276 and 277 yards. On the season, Minnesota gives up 293.3 yards per game.
Do the Jets have a game plan to get White over the hump? They’re known for the running the ball and being beasts on defense. But throwing the ball? The team is built for it. Garrett Wilson, Elijah Moore, and Corey Davis are able to beat defenses with their speed. They just haven’t had a young quarterback to stretch the defense and make sound decisions. The Jets defense is going to get White extra possessions on turnovers.
Joe Flacco did it earlier in the season, and with just one start under his belt this season where he threw 315 yards and three touchdowns against the Bears, he has given the Jets offense new life. Remember, White’s not a rookie. Let’s not forget in 2021 that White threw 405 yards against the Bengals in a 34-31 shootout on Halloween. He can certainly do this.
