Welcome, Bruno Boys Nation to the Week 13 of the 2022 NFL Season! Along with the variety of fantasy football formats, we cover Player Prop bets. So in case you just want some quick action for the weekend, Ernie Estrella is tackling Player Prop betting during the season. He will break down the wiser bets for five players at quarterback, running back and wide receiver, based on how he sees the game script going.

Week 13 Wide Receivers / Tight Ends

Mike Evans will catch OVER 63.5 yards (-115 BetMGM) against the Saints.

Start Time: Monday, December 5, Raymond James Stadium 5:15pm ET
Broadcast:  ESPN+  / NFL+

This is a rivalry that I’ve looked at or studied over the years for my Sit and Starts articles. 9 times out of 10, I’ve given the recommendation to SIT Mike Evans when he plays Tampa Bay and most of the time, that’s the right call. He’s had one flex worthy performance, Week 8 of 2021 where he caught two passes for 48 yards and scored a touchdown. That barely made the cut for a 10-point game. But you have to go back to 2018 to his last 10+ fantasy points against Marshon Lattimore and the Saints.

Evans has been held under 65 yards 12 times out of 16 games against the Saints. However, Lattimore is ruled out of this game because of an abdominal injury. Now, Evans still is struggling this season but the Saints do give up as a team, 156.8 receiving yards per game to wide receivers. That’s the 12th-highest average given up by a defense.

Assuming this game goes higher than that average, Evans and Godwin will be a challenge to guard against. I don’t believe that Evans will have a huge game, because he just hasn’t shown that all season. But I do think he can reach 64 yards, even if he only gets five to six passes to catch. He wants to play well in this game.
