I’ve said it all along, the Texans look like a defense that you can pick on, but they’ve been scrappy all season long and have allowed the least amount of fantasy points to the position. Two quarterbacks have finished with 20.0 or more fantasy points against the Texans. Now a big reason that’s happened is rookie cornerback Derek Stingley and he’s been placed on IR as of Week 14.
Still, this defense held Dak Prescott to just 284 yards, one touchdown and two picks. Again, without Stingley. So there’s some defensive improvement going on in Houston and while the Chiefs are a different beast, the Texans have not allowed a 300-yard passer since Week 4. It’s always tempting to bet the over, especially with Mahomes, but betting the under is a safer bet.
