Welcome, Bruno Boys Nation to the Week 2 of the 2022 NFL Season! Along with the variety of fantasy football formats, we cover Player Prop bets. So in case you just want some quick action for the weekend, Ernie Estrella is tackling Player Prop betting during the season. He will break down the wiser bets for five players (2 in-depth, 3 quick) at quarterback, running back and wide receiver, based on how he sees the game script going.
Week 2 Wide Receivers
Bet the UNDER on Justin Jefferson’s 97.5 yards (-114 FanDuel)
Start Time: Monday, September 19, FedEx Field 8:30pm ET
Broadcast: ABC Sports / ESPN / NFL
We’re going to Monday Night where there’s two games this week and Justin Jefferson is going to have a lot of action thrown his way. Pun intended. The Eagles gave up the 10th most fantasy points to the receiver in Week 1.
Amon-Ra St. Brown and DJ Chark Jr. both scored touchdowns against the Eagles secondary. Only this is props, and we don’t have to worry about that as much. We just have to focus in on one portion of the game. Both St. Brown and Chark were held under 65 receiving yards.
The center of attention for the Eagles will be Jefferson. Now, with respect to Jefferson, he will get his points, he will get a touchdown likely, but will he reach 100 yards? Especially when the Vikings have Adam Thielen too, who is a squeaky wheel in need of some oil?
That’s a tough call and because of that we like that everyone is chasing the gaudy stats he got in Week 1. Vegas likes that too. Bet the UNDER 97.5 yards for Jefferson.
