NFC North
Chicago Bears – The Bears didn’t let a torrential downpour from the heavens get them down. Although it was sketchy until Justin Fields and the Bears decided to play football. It wasn’t pretty but the Bears made plays when they needed to.
Detroit Lions – The sequel is starting out like last year. Make a lot of mistakes to get behind, then show a lot of grit and fight to make it a game, only to fall short. There’s a lot to like here, especially D’Andre Swift and Jamaal Williams, but the defense can’t give up 216 rushing yards and four touchdowns again.
Green Bay Packers – Where do we start? Christian Watson’s drop of a wide open bomb on the first drive set the tone for the entire game. Aaron Rodgers and the young wide receivers looked flummoxed the entire game, helped by the offensive line missing its starting tackles. So far, life without Davante Adams is terrible.
Minnesota Vikings – If the Vikings continue to feed Justin Jefferson this much (9 catches out of 11 targets for 184 yards and two touchdowns) watch the stock of Kirk Cousins soar. Â The Vikings looked like they were having fun again and as a spectator, they were fun to watch.
