10. Antonio Gibson, RB, Washington Commanders vs. Jacksonville Jaguars

Jacksonville’s run defense was an Achilles’ heel in 2021. They allowed 125.1 yards per game, good for a defensive ranking of 24th, and in total defense they allowed 353.1 yards per game allowed. The Jaguars were also ranked 25th in allowing 43 percent third-down conversions and next to dead last on 4th downs with 66.7 conversion rate. Jacksonville kicked off free agency with the splash signing of LB Foye Oluokun and pairing him with rookies Travon Walker and Devin Lloyd. On paper, these addtions along with with Josh Allen upgrade the front seven.

Whenever there is this much overhaul on a defense, it takes time for that to mesh. From a fantasy standpoint, I’m not discounting it, but I also need to see it work on the field. Until then, I’ll take Antonio Gibson’s volume and red zone touches for my flex. He needs to make the best case for himself while his teammate and original Week 1 starter Brian Robinson recovers from gunshot wounds.
