7. Michael Carter and James Robinson, RB, New York Jets at New England Patriots
Who doesn’t love the Jets’ story this season? It’s thrilling to watch them become a team that’s knocking on the door of the NFL playoffs and they are holding their own in what’s become a strong division. Their strengths are their defense and their run game. Zach Wilson and the pass game are still coming around.
Bill Belichick had two weeks to prepare for this game and you know he’ll be looking to eliminate at least one key playmaker. He’s targeting the run game with Carter and Robinson in an even split and probably Garrett Wilson. The latter might be good enough to be active enough to get his points but the backs will be overmatched in this game. Carter managed 61 scoreless yards against this defense back in Week 8 and Robinson got 17 yards off five carries.
Expect Robinson to get more touches, a more even split. New England allows the second-fewest fantasy points to the running back position, and that’s enough to downgrade both of these backs in Week 11.
