It’s Week 13 of the 2022 NFL Season, Bruno Boys Nation and we only have a few weeks before the playoffs start. You need to keep stacking wins or get that crucial last push towards the prize.

Studs will be studs, and of course those players are cemented in your lineup. At Bruno Boys, we look at the tougher decisions on who to start and who to sit like those pesky flex situations, that third receiver, or a super-flex.

The Carolina Panthers and Arizona Cardinals are on BYE this week, so all of their players are unavailable this week. In no particular order, we’ve picked out the best Sits for Week 13.

8. Miles Sanders, RB, Philadelphia Eagles vs. Tennessee Titans

The Titans are third in the NFL allowing an 84.5 rushing yards average. They’re usually stout against the run, allowing just one back to go over 66 yards. That back was Saquon Barkley back in Week 1 when he ran for 164 yards and a touchdown. Only one other back has rushed a touchdown against the Titans and that was Samaje Perine last week. Two other backs, Buffalo’s Reggie Gilliam and Houston’s Dameon Pierce caught a pass for a touchdown against these Titans. But one of the few ways you can score points against the Titans is if you have volume, and this is where Sanders falls short.

He’s part of a multiple back system, including his quarterback, so some weeks it’s tough to get the 21 carries he saw last week against Green Bay. He averages just 16 carries per game and typically does a lot with those opportunities. Sanders’ offensive line is top notch.

But Sanders has also had some duds too. In two of his last three games, he failed to score 6.0 fantasy points. Four times he’s failed to reach 10.0 fantasy points and two times it was against Washington, at Arizona and at Indianapolis. When the run defense is good, Sanders really has to fight for that yardage. The Eagles will probably opt to go to the air in this matchup, which is why Sanders is a sit.
