5. Mike Gesicki, TE, Miami Dolphins at San Francisco 49ers

We are dancing around this matchup because we’re not sure how the Dolphins are going to respond against a defense as tough as the Niners. It’s a team that Mike McDonald knows well, as it was once his home and he’s patterned his Dolphins off of the Niners. This defense is brutally tough against the tight end. They’ve allowed a total two touchdowns this season, both to Atlanta tight ends Kyle Pitts and MyCole Pruitt. Tyler Higbee and Travis Kelce have gotten volume from a PPR standpoint, but most other tight ends have failed to reach 5.0 fantasy points against this defense. As for Gesicki, he’s got just three notable weeks so far in the season, and they’re just too random to put any faith in making him a focal point of the offense.
