4. DeVonta Smith, WR, Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants
Between Philadelphia’s two leading receivers, A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, the latter has had his ups and downs this season. Some weeks are just not his week, other times he’s been fantasy worthy from a flex spot but rarely has he played the role of a fantasy WR1. He’s also never scored in two straight games.
A few times he’s been a fantasy WR2 but Smith’s targets have leveled out to eight or nine and he’s only pulling 4-6 on a good day. Those numbers are down from the beginning of the season when he was getting a dozen or so targets. This is not the best matchup for Smith. The Giants have executed well against the pass, which is making us feel like we’re going to see a lot of QB draws and handoffs to Miles Sanders.
