3. Dak Prescott, QB, Dallas Cowboys vs. Philadelphia Eagles
Prescott is facing a stiff defense in the Eagles. They’ve not allowed a quarterback to score more than two touchdowns. They’ve let got just one rushing touchdown to a quarterback and no has throw over 170 yards against them in four weeks, much less 250 yards all season long. Prescott did not play the Eagles back in Week 6, due to his thumb injury, but that was a bad day for Cooper Rush (three interceptions). To his credit, Prescott has thrown three touchdowns in two of his last three games (Weeks 13 and 15) but the Cowboys have been so run heavy with Tony Pollard and Ezekiel Elliott anchoring the offense. Prescott doesn’t have to throw with volume and that’s why he’s thrown under 40 passes the last five games. The game script won’t change this week, the Cowboys will be heavy on the run, because that’s one sure way to break down the Eagles. This is not a great matchup for a quarterback, mobile or otherwise, and that’s why we’re designating Prescott as a SIT in Week 16.
