AFC North
Everyone won except Pittsburgh, and because of their brutal schedule, they’re not making a switch to Kenny Pickett. Baltimore’s defense is young and giving up a lot of yards and points. Cincinnati finally looked like a team that went to the Super Bowl, but have they permanently fixed their offensive line problems. Jacoby Brissett is playing like a top five quarterback, which is an indictment to how bad the quarterback position has been this year.
Baltimore Ravens – Lamar Jackson continues to suit up with the red cape and “S” on his chest, and run like a locomotive. He continues to be Baltimore’s best running back. His arm’s not bad either, throwing four touchdowns. He’s still heavily favoring Mark Andrews, but Devin Duvernay and Rashod Bateman, catch what few passes they get for touchdowns.
Cincinnati Bengals – The Browns may have blown it against the Jets, but the Bengals weren’t going to get punked. Joe Burrow was sacked only twice and threw for 275 yards with three touchdowns. Tyler Boyd made a huge play on a missed tackle and took it to the house for a 56-yard touchdown score. Tee Higgins left the game after an ugly helmet-to-helmet hit that sent him straight to concussion protocol. Again, short turnaround for the Thursday Night Game on Amazon Prime.
Cleveland Browns – Cleveland played a clean game, staying true to who they were and handled the Steelers. Pittsburgh could not slow down Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt as they combined for 160 rushing yards. Jacoby Brissett is taking ownership of the offense and is making smart plays and Amari Cooper is proving he can be a consistent fantasy WR2.
Pittsburgh Steelers – Najee Harris is running more like a RB2 but he’s the only Steeler who is worth a lick in fantasy. Mitch Trubisky is not making any costly mistakes, but he’s also not doing anything that is special where he is a reason why they win. You want to see quarterbacks win games with their arms, their legs, instinct and brain. Â Right now, he’s just playing not to lose.
