8. Jared Goff, QB, Detroit Lions at Dallas Cowboys

After that blazing game back in Week 4, Jared Goff turned back into a pumpkin at the stroke of midnight for Week 5. It proved that the Lions are still a team that needs to have a favorable matchup to get the offense rolling. That was not the case against New England. So will the real Jared Goff stand up?

Then they took a week off with the Week 6 Bye and that extra time is helpful in getting guys like D’Andre Swift and Amon-Ra St. Brown healthy, but the fact remains, they’re facing one of the toughest defenses so far, six games into this 2022 season.

Dallas is allowing an average of 206.7 passing yards and 1.0 touchdown per game and they’ve done that by holding 4-of-6 QBs under 200 yards passing. They’ve allowed just 98 points on the season, one of five teams to hold their combined opponents to under 100 points. Their 24 sacks are tops in the league with Micah Parsons leading the way. If the score is kept down, there’s no chance for the Lions. That’s the one way they could beat the Cowboys. They need to score at will and being forced to play defense is where they’ll come up short.

Goff does have some relief coming up in his schedule but if you’re looking to stream a QB, try Taylor Heinicke instead.
