1. Adam Thielen, WR, Minnesota Vikings at Washington Commanders
Thielen has become that receiver that’s dependent on a touchdown to get him into that fantasy conversation. He’s been averaging around 7.0 targets per game and those are good numbers to have, but with T.J. Hockenson joining the team, how many more games can Thielen expect that kind of volume?
Thielen has been worth playing as a flex in four of the Vikings’ first seven games, but he’s only scored in two of them. He needs that volume, or else is isn’t relevant in the offense. The Commanders present a good matchup for Thielen, but not as good as it was earlier in the season.
Before Week 5, the Commanders were letting any receiver score on them. However, in the last four games, just one receiver has scored against them. They’re getting Chase Young back too. The game script just doesn’t look like the best for Thielen, so it’s a Sit recommendation for us.
