Welcome back Bruno Boys Nation! Here we are, at the start of the 2023 fantasy football, and we’re all getting ready for the upcoming Week 1. There’s less than a week left in draft season, so we all have business to take care of. We’re talking about dominating your fantasy football draft and then maintaining a balanced and deep roster. Whatever the format or scoring system, you won’t win your league unless you fill your bench with players who can score and produce.

That’s become more challenging because with passing becoming more prevalent and wide receiver duties becoming more split,  sleepers may not emerge until later and later into the season. Here are a handful of wide receivers we believe can break out and have big seasons if everything goes right.

Scoring Machine Sleeper: Jahan Dotson, Washington Commanders

Now entering his second season, Dotson is looking to level up for his team and amongst NFL receivers. His 35 receptions and 523 receiving yards won’t move the needle for a lot of owners. Terry McLaurin is still in his prime and no one is thinking about Dotson until players start looking for their WR2. Right now he’s tracking as a 7th round pick, so why the optimism?

Dotson has a nose for the end zone. In his rookie season, he just found ways to make that tough catch in the red zone and dive in. He caught seven touchdowns and that was with Carson Wentz and Taylor Heinicke under center. Catches and yards are nice, but players who score touchdowns are wanted in any format.

Assuming that Sam Howell is going to be better than those two has us excited. Then, if you believe that Eric Bienemy will help the offense and bring some of that Kansas City firepower with him, all arrows are pointing up.
