Welcome to Week 13 of the 2023 fantasy football season, Bruno Boys Nation! For those not familiar with the term, “streaming” in fantasy, it’s a strategy wherein players are added and dropped from a roster on a weekly basis. You’re simply playing the best matchup. That player might be dropped the following week for a different player with a better matchup.

On rare occasions, we will spot a matchup where a marginal player could be elevated into a spot start at a key fantasy positions (QB, RB, WR).¬†If you have any of the top tier defenses (San Francisco, Philadelphia, Cleveland…) and tight ends (Travis Kelce, Mark Andrews, T.J. Hockenson, George Kittle…), absolutely start them. If not, then keep reading.

Stream: Gardner Minshew, Jacksonville Jaguars at Houston Texans

Minshew has been nudging his way back up the ladder as a potential streaming play in Week 13He reached his pinnacle against the Browns, throwing 305 yards and two passing and two rushing touchdowns to finish as the QB3 in Week 7. Since then, his owners have been chasing those points for four straight weeks. The fact is that for every good throw he makes, he has an equally piss-poor one that follows. His left help him score when his arm doesn’t and that resilience is great but we also have to bring up his seven interceptions since Week 6.

So why the optimism? Minshew has the Colts competitive with an outside chance at getting a playoff spot. Jonathan Taylor has a thumb injury but it’s not clear how long he’ll be out. Luckily they have Zack Moss, but because of that, we wouldn’t be surprised if Minshew is leaned on more. As dangerous as the could be, he’s facing the Titans who have a soft secondary. If there’s a week to finally get him in a lineup, this would be the one.
