As of this writing the Raiders still had to play the Los Angeles Chargers Monday night to finish Week 4. But if you’re reading this from Tuesday morning on, the defense’s matchup for Week 5 against the Chicago Bears still stands as good.
The Raiders had seven sacks from Week 1-3, with 22 offensive points or less allowed in the last two. The Bears were better in Week 4 against the Detroit Lions, as expected, but they still only scored 24 points. It’s safe to say Vegas’ defense is better than Detroit’s.
The Bears may also be without top running back David Montgomery (left knee), leaving an also banged up Damien Williams (quad) as the lead back against the Raiders. It all points to this unit being firmly back on the streaming radar for Week 5.
