Nyheim Hines, RB, Indianapolis Colts
With Marlon Mack out again, Hines led the Colts backfield with 43 yards on 10 touches (five catches) against the Eagles in Week 3. The rookie out of N.C. State has double-digit touches and at least five catches in two of three games this season, both with Mack out.
If Andrew Luck is going to mostly dink-and-dunk his way down the field to protect what’s left of his arm strength as he tries to get all the way back from shoulder surgery, Hines is in line for a prominent role in the Colts’ passing game. Among his peers, Mack and Jordan Wilkins, Hines’ passing game role is the most bankable role in Indianapolis’ running back mix.
Hines’ fantasy value is centered on PPR scoring, with a nearly even split of his touches this far (14 carries and 13 receptions). But if he ever earns more carries, there would be some untapped upside in all fantasy leagues.
