Jeff Wilson Jr., RB, Miami Dolphins

Being traded can be less than ideal, but Wilson did about as well as you could being traded from the San Francisco 49ers to the Miami Dolphins. Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel was an assistant in San Francisco, so there inherent familiarity opened the door for Wilson to hit the ground running.

Wilson had the same number of carries as Raheem Mostert Sunday against the Chicago Bears (nine). He was more prolific though, averaging 5.7 yards per carry to Mostert’s 2.9. Mostert had a touchdown run, but Wilson had all the passing game production between them (three catches for 21 yards and a touchdown).

Mostert and Wilson have both not been great pictures of durability. So a pretty equal share of the workload could be coming, with Wilson swapped in for the traded Chase Edmonds. In any case, Wilson is now a piece of a Dolphins’ offense that’s one of the best in the league. He should be rostered in all 12-team leagues.
