Daniel Jones, QB, New York Giants
Jones had his lowest fantasy output of the season in Week 8 against the Seattle Seahawks. Couple that with a Week 9 bye with six teams idle, and he was dropped in a huge chunk of fantasy leagues last week.
A Week 10 matchup against the Houston Texans is not as bad as it looks for Jones. Three quarterbacks have thrown for more than 285 yards against them, and the fantasy points they’ve allowed to the position (lack thereof) is skewed by the bad version of Justin Fields (6.9 points in Week 3) and rookie Malik Willis (2.4 points in Week 8).
From Week 11-16, Jones has good-looking matchups against the Detroit Lions (Week 11), the Washington Commanders (Week 13 and Week 15) and the Minnesota Vikings (Week 16). Week 12 against the Dallas Cowboys and Week 14 against the Philadelphia Eagles don’t look so hot, but Jones did have 275 total yards against Dallas back in Week 3.
Jones rushing production drives his fantasy floor as much as it does his upside. There will be dud weeks, but he should be given a long look as a QB2 in 12 and 14-team leagues.
