Marcus Mariota, QB, Atlanta Falcons
Mariota yucked it up again on Sunday, as he went 13-for-20 for 131 yards and a touchdowns along with 25 rushing yards and a score on the ground against the Chicago Bears. But he’s getting it done for fantasy production, with more than 17 points in three of his last four games, four of his last six and five of his last seven.
In Week 12 Mariota gets the Washington Commanders, who entered Week 11 in the bottom-12 against quarterbacks (Yahoo! scoring) and have allowed a rushing touchdown to a quarterback in back-to-back games. Then in Week 13 he gets the Pittsburgh Steelers, who entered Week 11 allowing the sixth-most fantasy points to quarterbacks (Yahoo! scoring) and should remain in that range once the week is finished.
After a Week 14 bye, Mariota gets tougher matchups against the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens before a nice-looking Week 17 matchup against the Arizona Cardinals.
As long as he keeps the starting job, and the Falcons are a playoff contender at 5-6 now, Mariota will be on the fantasy radar. Just be glad you don’t have to watch him play, and the box score will be fine.
