Week 12 of the 2022 NFL season is almost in the books, with Sunday and Monday night games to be completed. But fantasy football managers can and should be looking ahead to the new week for waiver wire adds already, with the playoffs nearing. Bye weeks resume in Week 13, with the Arizona Cardinals and Carolina Panthers idle.
Here are nine early must-adds from your Week 13 fantasy football waiver wire.
Treylon Burks, WR, Tennessee Titans
A big play boosted his statline, and a fumble recovery in the end zone may or may not have counted in your fantasy league. But Burks had four catches for 70 yards against the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, and he has 20 targets over the last three games with 181 yards over the last two.
The next five weeks are a bit of a mixed bag for Burks. Week 13 (Philadelphia Eagles), Week 15 (Los Angeles Chargers) and Week 17 (Dallas Cowboys) are not obviously great matchups, but game scripts may drive more pass volume from Ryan Tannehill. Week 14 against the Jacksonville Jaguars and Week 16 against the Houston Texans are good matchups that stand out down the stretch.
There’s a boom-or-bust element, due to the Titans’ offense centering around Derrick Henry. But Burks should be rostered in far more fantasy leagues as the regular season winds down and the playoffs loom.
