Week 12 of the 2023 NFL season will finish with the Sunday and Monday night games. But it’s not too early to look ahead to Week 13 for fantasy football roster adjustments on the waiver wire. Week 13 is another, “bye-pocalypse”, however ill-timed with the fantasy playoffs on the horizon, with six teams idle (Baltimore Ravens, Buffalo Bills, Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, Las Vegas Raiders, New York Giants).

Here are nine must-adds from your Week 13 fantasy football waiver wire.

Josh Downs, WR, Indianapolis Colts

Downs had five catches for a not-so exciting 43 yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday, but his 13 targets stand out. After aggravating a lingering knee injury in Week 9, being clearly limited by it in Week 10 and having a bye in Week 11, his ownership rates dropped quite a bit and did not bounce back a lot last week.

Downs has posted 15.7, 13.1, 23.5, 14.2 and 9.3 points in full PPR in last five fully healthy games, with at least six targets and five catches in each one.

Week 13-15 is a favorable stretch for Downs, against the Tennessee Titans, Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers. Week 16 (Atlanta Falcons) and Week 17 (Las Vegas Raiders) are hardly daunting.

Downs should not have been dropped, but it’s understandable why some fantasy owners may have done it. He showed he’s healthy on Sunday, so there’s a nice second chance to add him in any league he might be available in.
