Jerick McKinnon, RB, Kansas City ChiefsÂ
McKinnon didn’t do much on the ground against the Denver Broncos on Sunday (six carries for 22 yards), but he had seven catches for 112 yards and two touchdowns. He has three receiving touchdowns over the last two games, with at least 5.6 fantasy points purely as a pass catcher (full PPR) in five of his last six games. He has at least six targets in four of those last six.
The Chiefs are sure to be heavily favored in Week 16 against the Houston Texans, and if they have as little trouble with them as expected McKinnon may see more carries in a split with Isiah Pacheco. Another nice matchup is coming in Week 16 against the Seattle Seahawks, before a Week 17 rematch against the Broncos.
There’s quite a cap between McKinnon’s ownership rate on ESPN and Yahoo!, and he is only rostered in 14 percent of NFL.com leagues entering a new week.
His value is greatest in PPR leagues, but McKinnon is an available piece of a very good Chiefs’ offense with roster appeal in any league with 12 or more teams.
