Taylor Heinicke, QB, Washington Commanders

Heinicke had multiple passing touchdowns in back-to-back games heading into Washington’s Week 14 bye, with 275 yards and the two scores against the New York Giants in Week 13. It hasn’t always looked pretty, but he has accounted for multiple touchdowns in five of his seven starts this season.

Heinicke gets the Giants again in Week 15, and it has become a nice matchup as injuries that thinned their secondary. Setting completely aside what Jalen Hurts did on the ground Sunday (77 yards and a touchdown), they have allowed two passing touchdowns in three straight games with more than 260 passing yards allowed in the first two of those.

Going back a little more, the Giants have allowed multiple passing touchdowns or over 260 yards through the air in six of their last seven games.

Week 16 against the San Francisco 49ers is a bad matchup for Heinicke, then things get a shade easier against the Cleveland Browns in Week 17.

Heinicke is on the low-end streaming radar in one quarterback leagues for Week 15, as a solid floor, moderate upside option. After that he’s more of a QB2 option in two-quarterback/super-flex leagues, but the talent around him props him up as a waiver add for the fantasy playoffs.
