Week 15 of the 2022 NFL season is almost in the books, with Sunday and Monday night games to be completed. But fantasy football managers can and should be looking ahead to the new week for waiver wire adds if there’s reason to remain engaged.

The playoff field is narrowing in fantasy leagues, but consolation brackets could be in play for non-playoff teams.

Here are nine early must-adds from your Week 16 fantasy football waiver wire.

Tyler Allgeier, RB, Atlanta Falcons

Allgeier had 17 carries for 139 yards and a touchdown against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday, along with one catch. He topped 50 rushing yards in four straight games and in five of his last six. He has double-digit carries and/or at least 45 total yards in every game but one starting in Week 4.

The Falcons will clearly remain a run-heavy offense with rookie Desmond Ridder under center. Caleb Huntley was injured early on Sunday, opening up more work for Allgeier and Cordarrelle Patterson.

A fairly tough matchup is coming for Allgeier in Week 16 against the Baltimore Ravens, before a much nicer matchup against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 17.

Allgeier has remained low-rostered as part of Atlanta’s backfield committee. But his performance on Sunday should line him up for more run as the season winds down. The rookie back out of BYU is at least a flex option in 12-team leagues in Week 16 and Week 17.
