Marquise Goodwin, WR, Seattle Seahawks
Goodwin didn’t light it up in Week 15 against the San Francisco 49ers (two catches for 10 yards). But he did have five targets, and with Tyler Lockett (hand/finger) possibly out for the season after being injured in that game he’s line up for a big role for at least one game.
That one game, at least, will come in Week 16 against the Kansas City Chiefs. The Chiefs entered Week 15 allowing the fourth-most fantasy points to wide receivers (0.5-point PPR), but that standing may improve some after allowing six catches for 68 yards to the Houston Texans‘ wide receivers on Sunday.
In any case, the Seahawks are in line to be chasing points in Week 16 and Geno Smith has supported two fantasy-viable wide receivers all season. Goodwin will be the No. 2 guy behind DK Metcalf in place of Lockett against the Chiefs in that situation.
Goodwin is really only a boom-or-bust wide receiver streamer for Week 16. Fantasy managers who will be without Lockett, and those in deeper leagues (at least 12 teams, if not 14 teams or more) should have the former Olympian on their radar though.
