Jeff Wilson Jr., RB, San Francisco 49ers

Wilson has quite an impressive touchdown streak brewing right now. The running back has gone three consecutive games with 2 touchdowns when he gets at least 8 touches. In a lopsided victory over the New York Giants, Wilson finished with 69 total yards and 2 touchdowns (1 rushing / 1 receiving.)

Wilson entered the year as the 49ers No.4 running back on the depth chart but continues to climb the later because of injury. Running back Raheem Mostert and Tevin Coleman were out in Week 3 and Jerrick McKinnon (77 total yards, TD) drew the start but had to leave the game with an rib injury.

It’s evident that the 49ers need to stay healthy at running back but until they start returning their go-to options, Wilson has true standalone value in all scoring formats. Next up for San Francisco is a home matchup with the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 4 and also at home against the Miami Dolphins in Week 5.

If you own one of Mostert, McKinnon or Coleman it will benefit you to work the wire and waiver claim or some of your FAAB money toward adding the 3rd year running back out of North Texas. — Marc Caviglia
